Honeywell was a major engineering firm in Oakland California
They wanted to promote energy efficiency as a way of creating value
The villain in the story was ignorance and laziness
The internal problem was lack of wisdom
The external problem was not enough people knowing how to use conservation practices
The main conflict was having all these different ways of improving the world and no one knowing about them
When I got involved with Honeywell, they were the typical corporate office running inefficiently and producing little results
I gave them a process of training the trainers and building an automated system to scale
They were able to share energy efficiency information with hundreds of people
They were able to cut back on the time of training needed
They were able to transform from a standard boring call center to a group of consultants
