Imagine you were born on the nicest day possible every year where everybody likes to come to your birthday called Christmas Eve
Imagine you pick the one night of the year that odds are will never turn into a big birthday party
At least in Western society, and why is that it’s because everyone’s already gathered with their families for one of the most sacred nights of the year to celebrate a person who was born around 2,000 years ago
Everyone is so busy attending Jesus Christ birthday party on Christmas Eve that you almost can’t get them to do anything else
Imagine if your whole childhood you had to choose between opening Christmas presents and singing Happy Birthday
Imagine if you will always having your birthday turned into something that society will not change
Imagine never really being able to celebrate your birthday fully
What it leads to is a fork in the road where you can choose to let it bum you out depress you make you feel sad and s***** and always regret being born on Christmas Eve or you can choose a path that looks like how can I have this be my favorite day of the year for many reasons
Not only do I get to hold hands with one of my favorite teachers Jesus but I also get to hold hands with Black elk Martin Luther King Mahatma Gandhi Buddha Krishna Vishnu ganache for and all the gods of Olympus
I get to spend my birthday partying with all the saints and sages all the gods and teachers and wisdom keepers of all the ages
You may be asking yourself right now why should I care about this
Well I’m glad you asked because this has everything to do with you
How do you spend your birthday every year, is it in total gratitude that you’re alive that you have air you have a body you have all your organs you have people who love you you have shelter hot running water vehicles money power information tools etc etc etc
On a scale of 1 to 10 how grateful are you typically everyday
If you answer anything less than 10 then the good news is you have room for improvement
One of the things I noticed ever since I was little is it people are great for for all the things that they like and that they’re really super grateful for the things they love
One of my gifts to share with the world is learning how to be grateful for the things that we don’t love
Can you imagine being grateful for a flat tire or a bankruptcy or a divorce or a health challenge
How about getting an f in school getting into an accident or having some type of handicap
These are all things that people typically are not grateful for
Ever since I was young I have looked at all the creatures in the universe and realized they all have their place and they all have their value but that some of us don’t appreciate all of them
My purpose has always been to draw all the creatures and give them all equal respect
I noticed that there’s many creatures that people don’t draw don’t talk about or don’t even acknowledge exist because they’re so challenging dark or dangerous
For example in preschool when the kids were asking my class what do you want to be when you grow up my answer was a great white shark
That’s not to say that it isn’t a strange perspective it’s just that it’s okay to be who you really are
Every creature has its place
My experience has been that once you become comfortable with who you are you’re less threatened by the other creatures typically because you’re not so worried about changing everyone else you’re only making sure you’re the best version of yourself you can be
I grew up drawing and creating visual images as my passion and what I like to do now is turn that passion into a resource for people who don’t like where they’re at in life or don’t want to stay where they’re at in life and have fears that they are wanting to face but too scared to face it
I like to sit down with someone and say if there were three fears that you would be willing to look at what three would matter most to start with and then combine them into a single drawing so they can just look at it and have the most impact in the least amount of time
If you go to an emergency room there may be 200 different tests and thousands of different ailments that could get looked at but typically we always start at the same spot and that’s the top three
Can you breathe
Are you breathing
Is that air being pumped around your body
As long as those three are taken care of everything else can get looked at later
If any of those three are skipped it doesn’t matter what gets looked at
That’s the philosophy behind the rapid fear transformation process
I’ve studied many different spiritual traditions and found that the one thing that produces results the fastest is by being in alignment with the Galaxy
The force of gravity from the Earth the Sun shining from its center the pole on the tides from the Moon and all the other things that are guaranteed around 100% of the time are very effective at using his guides
Any athlete any president any person working to accomplish a worthy goal is often faced by the same obstacle their biggest fear
A famous psychiatrist once said that the first three things people talk about and tell you are bothering them have nothing to do with what’s actually bothering them
The thing that’s actually causing the most pain and misery in their life is actually the one thing they can’t talk about
That can be translated as to if you can talk about it then that isn’t it
The idea of facing your fears is to actually have that fear become a neutral feeling so that you can take action and follow through to its completion
For some people their biggest fear is completing things
This can be connected to a fear of failure a fear of success a fear of not good enough a fear of not belonging etc etc
One of my biggest fears is being alone
It may be why I’ve chosen the artist path
Drawing and painting gives you many hours by yourself to face your own situation with no outside perspective
